Marianna Stuhr

A visual artist, born in 1982, Poland, graduated from Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow and Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (PhD). Lives and works in Kronberg, Germany.

Marianna treats her work as looking for a balance between tradition and modernity, 
by combining contemporary expression and using classical artistic techniques (classic hand-printing techniques, painting
on canvas), telling a personal, often intimate story. Her work focuses on the themes such as the concept of void and space in the picture, represented by what is visible and abstract, often referring to astrophysical phenomena as a pretext to reveal her own, unique way of perceiving our existence in the surrounding space.
The latest topic she undertakes is a vivid interpretation of memory processes. The immediate inspiration—or rather, the catalyst—that directed the artist's attention to this theme stems from personal experiences and a challenging family situation. In her paintings, she juxtaposes these with the neurobiological processes that occur within the recesses of the human mind.
